data set: ECMWF Analysis fields

Description:
Atmospheric Forcing data sets are divided into
different time windows, at different horizontal
resolutions.
One data set covers years from 1979 to 1993
on a T106 Gaussian Grid (approximately 1.1250
x 1.1213 lat-lon grid).
This data set is called "ECMWF Re-Analysis (ERA)".

Another data set covers years from
1995 to 1997 at a resolution of approximately
0.5625 degrees (Gaussian T213 grid ).

Another data set covers the years:
1994 and 1998 at a resolution of 0.5 degrees
(regular lat-lon grid).

Another data set covers the years:
1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003 and 2004 at a resolution
of 0.5

All these data set can be downloaded
via ftp from MFSTEP server:

For login and password
ask to Info Products (info.products@bo.ingv.it)
N.B: In that directory
you should find one sub-directory for each
year (from 1979 to 1998), in which there are:
- 12 files .grb containing forcing data for
one month each
- 12 files .ctl to plot these data with
GRADS
- 1 description file (i.e. 1979_Readme)
- 1 fortran program to read data (i.e. read_1979.f)
from 1999 to 2004, there
are:
- daily files .grd containing forcing data
- daily files .ctl to plot these data with
GRADS
- 1 description file (i.e. 1999_Readme)
- 1 fortran program to read data (i.e. read_1999.f)

1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003 and 2004 at a resolution
of 0.5 degrees (regular lat-lon grid).
This data set is called "ECMWF Forecast".

via ftp from MFSTEP server:

For login and password
ask to Info Products (info.products@bo.ingv.it)
N.B: In that directory
you should find sub-directories (from Nov
1999 to 2004) called DIR_yymmdd ,
in which there are:
- 10 files .fcst.grb containing forcing
data for each day starting from DIR_yymmdd date
- 10 files .ctl to plot these data with
GRADS
and a fortran code (readforcing.f) to
read data.
